The Project Management Commercial develops and directs Commercial Project Management operations and strategic planning to meet organizational goals. He/she promotes the economic success of our projects by concentrating on the monetary and contractual aspects of project management, risk and claim management as well as project controlling.

What you’ll do:
- Continuous development and improvement of the Commercial Project Management standards, processes and tools within the SMS group in alignment with the business process management
- Monitoring the projects from a contractual and commercial perspective
- Management and coordination of contractually compliant communication with the customer and all contractual partners
- Implementation of the global standard for Commercial Project Management within the SMS group
- Maintaining project overviews & ensuring commercial project success
- Monitoring monthly project reporting
- Assisting with coordination of consortium contracts and commercial management of consortiums including payment release, change management, claims management
- Ensuring the accuracy of cost and pricing calculations
- Ensuring compliance with project management standards and all requirements of the applicable Project Management Guidelines of the SMS group
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or a similar field is preferred
- A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience in a contract management position, as either a Commercial Project Manager, Contract Manager, or closely related position, is required
- Thorough understanding of contract language and the ability to negotiate, interpret, and carry out contract terms is required
- Knowledge of project controlling, accounting, finance and contract management is required
- Strong financial analysis ability and experience is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, is required
- Experience in international business is preferred
- Experience with SAP is preferred
- Creative problem solver with a strong drive for project success
- Strong ability to communicate and exercise effective interpersonal skills is necessary
