Title: IT Auditor
Location: Buffalo, NY
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, examine, evaluate, and document the adequacy and effectiveness of IT activities to ensure risks are properly managed and internal controls are designed and operating effectively.
- Perform testing and documentation of IT General Computer Controls (ITGCs) to support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
- Identify control gaps and communicate opportunities to strengthen controls and improve processes.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate as a consultant on special projects at the request of management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology-, audit-, or business-related field.
- Solid working knowledge of IT processes and associated controls.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, and initiative.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- 7–10 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Concentration in Management Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
- Prior audit experience or 6 years of progressive technology experience with exposure to audit processes.
- CISA certification preferred (or willingness to pursue).
- Familiarity with IT governance and control frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, and ITIL.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and data analytics tools.
