Title: IT Auditor

Location: Buffalo, NY

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, examine, evaluate, and document the adequacy and effectiveness of IT activities to ensure risks are properly managed and internal controls are designed and operating effectively.
• Perform testing and documentation of IT General Computer Controls (ITGCs) to support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
• Identify control gaps and communicate opportunities to strengthen controls and improve processes.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate as a consultant on special projects at the request of management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology-, audit-, or business-related field.
• Solid working knowledge of IT processes and associated controls.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, and initiative.
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Concentration in Management Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
• Prior audit experience or 6 years of progressive technology experience with exposure to audit processes.
• CISA certification preferred (or willingness to pursue).
• Familiarity with IT governance and control frameworks such as NIST, COBIT, and ITIL.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and data analytics tools.
