Title: Senior Accountant
Salary: $90,000 to $115,000

Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities for Senior Accountant will include participating in the financial close, and preparing financial reporting packages, reconciliations, and related analyses.
- Preparing monthly journal entries, general ledger account analyses, and supporting schedules.
- Assisting with the issuance of monthly invoices and billing of Accounts Receivable and assisting with the management of A/R collections and monthly A/R Dashboard report.
- Maintaining revenue schedules, including deferred revenue and unbilled receivables, and ensuring the accuracy of revenue reporting in the monthly close.
- Reviewing customer contracts and ensuring invoices are aligned with agreed terms, resolving billing discrepancies, and looking for opportunities to improve billing processes and controls.
- Applying revenue recognition principles (ASC 606) when appropriate and reviewing customer contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatments.
- Analyzing the cost of service (COS), including third-party service costs, preparing COS accruals and ensuring proper expense classification.
- Monitoring cost trends and partnering with operations to explain variances and supporting gross margin analysis and reporting.
- Ensuring adherence to internal controls and accounting policies, assisting with audits by preparing documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
- Participating in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiencies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, public accounting preferred but not required.
- 4 plus years of accounting experience, with focus on revenue and/or cost accounting.
- Practical knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
