SkyBridge Luxury’s client, a prestigious mountain resort within one of the country’s most sought-after year-round destinations, is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rooms. This high-profile role supports a luxury property known for refined service, exceptional guest experiences, and an international clientele. The resort features upscale accommodations, elevated dining, spa and wellness offerings, and access to world-class outdoor recreation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all operations of the Rooms Division including Front Desk, Concierge, Bell/Porterage, Housekeeping and Guest Services.
- Ensure daily operations meet service standards and align with budget, staffing guidelines, and guest satisfaction goals.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and monthly planning for Rooms Division financials.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas to maintain service and presentation standards.
- Recruit, train, evaluate and mentor Rooms Division leaders and team members to foster high performance and guest-centric culture.
- Collaborate with other departments (F&B, Spa, Sales & Marketing, Engineering) to deliver seamless guest experiences.
- Oversee guest recovery efforts, service improvements and quality assurance initiatives.
- Participate in Executive Committee meetings and contribute to property-wide strategy development.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership in the Rooms Division of a luxury or upscale hotel or resort.
- Strong knowledge of Front Office, Housekeeping and Guest Services operations.
- Proven financial acumen in budgeting, forecasting and labor/cost control.
- Ability to lead in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining service excellence.
- Strong leadership and team-development skills with a hands-on, guest-focused approach.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
