SkyBridge Luxury & Associates has partnered with a dynamic lifestyle hospitality group to recruit a highly experienced General Manager / Regional Vice President of Operations to lead their flagship New York City property while overseeing a growing regional portfolio. The successful candidate will serve as the on-property General Manager of the New York City flagship while simultaneously providing regional oversight of two additional properties—one opening next year and a third in pre-development. This executive will build, mentor, and guide the General Managers at the other locations, ensuring alignment in service standards, operational execution, financial performance, and brand identity across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Flagship General Manager – New York City
- Lead daily operations of the flagship lifestyle hotel, overseeing Rooms, F&B, Sales, Engineering, Security, Finance, and People & Culture.
- Champion the property’s service culture, ensuring elevated guest experiences, consistent brand presentation, and strong guest satisfaction metrics.
- Drive operational excellence through hands-on leadership, visibility on the floor, and proactive engagement with guests and associates.
- Guide revenue strategy in partnership with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management to maximize ADR, occupancy, and market share.
- Ensure profitability through disciplined cost controls, productivity management, and effective forecasting and budgeting practices.
- Serve as the senior executive presence at the hotel, representing ownership and leading all key property initiatives.
Regional Vice President of Operations – Multi-Property Oversight
- Provide operational leadership, direction, and mentorship to the General Managers of two additional lifestyle hotels (one existing and one opening next year, with a third planned).
- Set and maintain consistent service standards, brand alignment, SOPs, and financial expectations across all properties.
- Support pre-opening efforts for the new hotel including staffing strategy, brand rollout, training programs, and operational readiness.
- Collaborate closely with ownership and corporate leadership on long-term strategic planning, capital investment priorities, and portfolio expansion.
- Analyze regional performance metrics, financial reports, forecasting accuracy, and KPI achievement to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Foster a cohesive leadership culture across the portfolio—promoting communication, accountability, and collaborative problem-solving between properties.
Qualifications
- 10 years of progressive leadership in lifestyle or luxury hotels, including experience as a General Manager.
- Multi-property operational leadership experience strongly preferred (e.g., Area GM, Regional Director, VP of Operations).
- Proven success opening hotels or leading through pre-opening phases.
- Exceptional leadership presence with the ability to motivate and develop teams at all levels.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen with a track record of improving profitability and operational performance.
- Deep understanding of lifestyle hospitality, F&B-driven environments, and urban hotel market dynamics.
- Ability to represent ownership interests and execute decisions with professionalism and sound judgment.
- Experience in New York City or other major metropolitan markets is a strong advantage.
