Skies the Limit Academy is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to support our childcare program located at a WV National Guard facility. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can work independently, and understands the importance of cleanliness and safety in a childcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
- Remove trash and maintain waste disposal areas
- Follow proper sanitation and infection-control procedures
- Restock supplies such as paper products and soap
- Report maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
- Assist with occasional setup or light facility support as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and site-specific requirements
Qualifications
- Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong reliability and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in an active childcare environment
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to meet background check and site access requirements
