Skies the Limit Academy, LLC is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Infant Teacher to join our team at the West Virginia National Guard Child Development Center, located on the WV National Guard base in Charleston, WV!
We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support infant growth and development.
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Establish positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Provide leadership and guidance to classroom staff.
- Ensure compliance with childcare licensing requirements and program policies.
Qualifications
Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
Alternative Qualifications: Applicants with a West Virginia Infant/Toddler (WVIT) Credential or Apprenticeship for Child Development Specialist (ACDS) are encouraged to apply. Candidates hired through these pathways must obtain a CDA or another recognized qualifying credential within an established timeframe to meet our military program requirements and continue in the Lead Teacher position.
Previous experience in a licensed childcare center is preferred. All candidates must successfully complete required background checks.
Background Check Requirement: All candidates must successfully complete and maintain eligibility through multiple levels of state and federal background checks, including those required for employment at a military installation.
