Teacher Assistant: Infant Classroom

Skies the Limit Academy, LLC, a federal government contractor and childcare services provider, is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and enthusiastic Infant Teacher Assistant to join our team at our childcare center located on the Fort Meade VA Medical Campus!

We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about infant care and committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for our youngest learners.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Infant Teacher with daily classroom activities, routines, and individualized infant care.
• Provide attentive, nurturing care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and supporting infants' daily needs.
• Support age-appropriate activities that encourage infants' physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Follow safe sleep practices, sanitation procedures, and applicable childcare licensing requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
• Build positive relationships with infants, families, and coworkers.
• Assist with classroom documentation, daily communication, and maintaining required staffing ratios.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with infants or in a licensed childcare center preferred.
• Educational background in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
• Patience, dependability, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for working with infants.
• Ability to work collaboratively with classroom staff and follow established childcare policies and procedures.
• Must successfully complete and maintain eligibility through all required state and federal background checks, including those required for employment at a federal facility.
