MS Physical Education Teacher

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teaching excellence in physical education/exercise science
• Ability to integrate biblical truths and a biblical worldview into teaching
• Demonstrate sound classroom management and instructional planning skills
• Cultivate a positive learning environment
• Support ideas and policies of the administration
• Demonstrate mastery in planning and executing PE, health, and fitness lessons
• Participate in PE lessons by demonstrating and executing athletic games, and exercises
• Update grades in a timely manner 
• Utilize Canvas LMS to build course content and facilitate instruction 
• Integrate STEAM, PBL, and Outdoor Education to make learning experiential, collaborative, and interactive 
• Communicate well with parents and keep them informed of the student’s progress
• Able to disciple and mentor high school students
• Maintains a professional standard of dress and an engaging personality
• Prompt and continuous attendance on campus

Additional Information

• Must sponsor extra-curricular activities/clubs or be able to coach an athletic team
• Willingness to obtain an ACSI certificati

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Physical Education or Exercise Science; Master’s degree in related field is preferred
• Endorsement in Strength and Conditioning preferred
• Possesses outstanding interpersonal, oral, writing, and technology and strength and conditioning skills
• 2 years of teaching experience in the middle school level is preferred
