Responsibilities
- Demonstrate teaching excellence in the subject matter
- Demonstrate sound classroom management skills
- Cultivate a positive learning environment
- Support ideas and policies of the administration
- Demonstrate knowledge in the area of History
- Demonstrate mastery and ability to transfer studies’ concepts using a Biblical Worldview
- Update grades in a timely manner
- Utilize Canvas LMS to build course content and to facilitate instruction
- Sponsor and organize a weeklong course focusing on experiential learning
- Integrate STEAM, PBL, and Outdoor Education to make student-learning experiential, collaborative, and interactive
- Communicate well with parents and keep them informed of the students’ progress.
- Tutor students in the subject matter taught.
- Maintains a professional standard of dress and an engaging personality
- Prompt and continuous attendance on campus
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS in Social Studies/History or BA/BS in Education with a Secondary Social Studies endorsement
- Holds or willing to obtain an ACSI certification
Additional Information
- Willingness to sponsor extra-curricular activities/clubs or be able to coach an athletic team.
