Lower Elementary School Teacher

• Will partner with parents to raise children who have a heart for Christ as well as prepare them for success in future education
• Demonstrates a robust comprehension and expertise in instructing children in reading skills through phonics, phonemic awareness, and small group instruction

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate teaching excellence in a lower elementary classroom
• Demonstrate an understanding of childhood development and behavior
• Demonstrate sound classroom management skills
• Cultivate a positive learning environment
• Demonstrate knowledge and mastery of instructional practices used in elementary education
• Maintain lesson and unit planning in the appropriate data platform
• Support ideas and policies of the administration
• Communicate and partner well with parents and keep them informed of the student's progress
• Able to collaborate with coworkers
• Able to integrate biblical truths and a biblical worldview into all subject matters
• Maintains a professional standard of dress and an engaging personality
• Prompt and continuous attendance on campus

Additional Job Information:

• Willingness to sponsor extra-curricular activities/clubs or be able to coach an athletic team
• Willingness to obtain an ACSI certification
• Completion of specific curriculum training is part of our new teacher hiring process, including two required summer book readings

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Elementary Education or Masters in Education
• Teaching Experience preferred
• All prospective employees must be able to clear a background check and fingerprinting
• Possesses outstanding interpersonal, oral, writing, and technology skills
