HS Math Teacher

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellence in teaching Math including grading and recording assessments in a timely manner
• Demonstrate sound classroom management skills
• Demonstrate content knowledge in Mathematics
• Cultivate a positive learning environment
• Tutor students in the subject matter taught
• Communicate well with parents and keep them informed of the student’s progress
• Integrate with project based-learning assessments
• Integrate appropriate technology 
• Utilizes instructional strategies that make student learning engaging and interactive
• Provide differentiated learning opportunities within the classroom
• Sponsor and organize a J-Term course (a 3-day experiential learning course)
• Support ideas and policies of the administration
• Possesses outstanding interpersonal, oral, writing and technology skills
• Able to collaborate with teachers and partner with parents
• Able to disciple and mentor high school students
• Able to integrate biblical truths and a biblical worldview in teaching Mathematics

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree with Mathematics endorsement
• Willingness to sponsor extra-curricular activities/clubs or be able to coach an athletic team
• Willingness to obtain an ACSI certification
