Key Duties
- Reconcile major balance sheet accounts such as receivables, intercompany balances, prepaid expenses, accruals, and payment clearing (Stripe, PayPal, etc.).
- Analyze and correct intercompany activity to ensure amounts match across all subsidiaries.
- Verify subledger balances against the general ledger using systems like QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Harvest, Stripe, and Brex.
- Pull and organize documentation for auditors and respond to client-prepared list requests.
- Spot and fix incorrect postings, missing journal entries, and misclassified transactions.
- Prepare or review adjusting entries to keep financial statements audit-ready.
- Partner with other teams to confirm historical entries, accruals, and account balances.
- Contribute to the month-end close process when needed.
- Maintain clear records of work performed to satisfy audit and internal control requirements.
- At least four years of hands-on accounting work, ideally including audit preparation or public accounting.
- Solid grasp of GAAP, audit workflows, and closing cycles.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Stripe, and strong spreadsheet skills (Excel or Google Sheets).
- Understanding of SaaS revenue recognition and multi-entity operations is helpful.
- Demonstrated success resolving complex reconciliation issues.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.
