Sr. Director or AVP of FP&A

Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and hands-on finance leader to join our team as either a Senior Director or AVP of FP&A & Strategic Finance. This individual will serve as a strategic business partner across the organization, leading financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and strategic finance initiatives in a fast-paced consumer products environment.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience supporting CPG and/or mass retail businesses, with a strong understanding of retail economics, inventory dynamics, gross margin management, and commercial finance. This role requires both strategic thinking and a willingness to operate in the details.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide FP&A activities including annual budgeting, long-range planning, monthly forecasting, and financial reporting
• Partner closely with executive leadership, sales, operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to drive business performance and decision-making
• Build and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, customer profitability, promotional analysis, and scenario planning
• Analyze revenue, margins, inventory, trade spend, and operating expenses to identify risks and opportunities
• Support retailer and channel analysis across mass retail, grocery, club, and eCommerce accounts
• Develop KPI dashboards and management reporting packages that provide actionable insights to leadership
• Drive strategic finance initiatives including growth planning, investment analysis, market expansion opportunities, and operational efficiency initiatives
• Improve financial processes, systems, forecasting accuracy, and reporting capabilities
• Deliver clear, concise financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders
• Partner cross-functionally to evaluate new products, promotional programs, and customer investments
• Support board presentations, lender reporting, and investor-related analyses as needed
