HR Assistant

A growing organization is seeking an organized and dependable HR Assistant to support daily payroll and employee operations in a fast-paced office environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their HR or payroll career who enjoys administrative work, values accuracy, and wants to build long-term experience within Human Resources.
This role blends payroll coordination, onboarding support, employee record management, and general HR administration. The right person will be someone who is highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with confidential information, and eager to learn new systems and processes.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll play an important role in supporting day-to-day HR and payroll functions across the organization.
Responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with weekly and biweekly payroll processing
• Reviewing employee timesheets and helping resolve discrepancies
• Maintaining payroll records, direct deposit information, and employee data
• Supporting payroll-related reporting and year-end activities
• Responding to employee questions related to payroll and HR processes
• Helping coordinate onboarding activities and new hire paperwork
• Updating employee records and maintaining organized personnel files
• Scheduling interviews and assisting with recruiting coordination
• Tracking attendance, PTO, and employee leave information
• Supporting benefits administration and employee communications
• Preparing employment verification letters and other HR documents
• Providing general administrative support to the HR team as needed

• Comfort handling sensitive and confidential employee information
• Experience with payroll or HR systems is helpful but not required
• Associate degree or related coursework is a plus
