Job Summary
The Customer Service & Dispatch Coordinator serves as a key operational support role, combining customer service with dispatch and logistics coordination. This position is responsible for managing customer interactions while supporting the scheduling and coordination of trucks, jobs, and yard activity.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient daily operations by ensuring clear communication between customers, drivers, yard teams, and field/service crews in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Handle inbound customer interactions including product inquiries, order entry, pricing (per policy), and scheduling
• Assist with dispatching trucks and coordinating deliveries, pickups, and job timing
• Communicate daily with drivers, yard teams, and field/service crews to ensure smooth operations
• Support yard operations by helping coordinate workflow and ensuring alignment between front office and yard activity
• Maintain accurate records including tickets, orders, and scheduling details
• Monitor job progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet operational demands
• De-escalate customer and operational issues professionally and route concerns when necessary
• Track recurring issues and communicate opportunities for process improvement
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements
Required Qualifications
• 1 year of customer service experience in a high-volume or operations environment
• Spanish-speaking required (must be able to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking workforce)
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple moving parts
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
• Clear and professional communication skills
• Ability to stay calm and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable attendance and ability to work in an active operations setting
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or yard operations
• Experience in construction, materials, recycling, or similar industries
• Familiarity with coordinating field teams or service crews
• Basic understanding of equipment or yard operations (no operation required)
Work Environment / Schedule
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturdays as needed (seasonal adjustments may apply)
Environment: Office/front-counter role within a large, active yard environment with frequent coordination between operations, logistics, and field teams
