Key Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist
- Assess patients' physical abilities, mobility, strength, and functional needs
- Develop and implement individualised physical therapy treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical needs
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, rehabilitation plans, and strategies to support recovery
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Follow clinical, safety, and professional standards throughout patient care
Requirements of the Physical Therapist Role
- Current BLS certification
- Current Nebraska state Physical Therapist license
- 1–2 years of Physical Therapist experience
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
