Sales Manager – Sales Manager – North America (Shrink Sleeve Machinery)
Location: Chicago or East Coast
Our client is a global market leader in shrink sleeve technology. As a vertically integrated business, they provide complete solutions across the shrink sleeve value chain and have built a strong international reputation for innovation, technical expertise, and customer service.
As part of their continued growth strategy, they are investing in the expansion of their machinery division and are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to establish and develop machine sales across the United States.
This is a newly created role with significant growth potential. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for shrink sleeve machinery sales throughout North America, with an initial focus on the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow shrink sleeve machinery sales across the United States and wider North America market.
- Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities within beverage, food, personal care, household products, pharmaceuticals, and other relevant packaging sectors.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of machinery projects and capital equipment opportunities.
- Develop relationships with brand owners, converters, packaging companies, system integrators, OEMs, and contract manufacturers.
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospect identification through technical consultation, proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
- Work closely with engineering, technical, project management, and after-sales teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events.
- Provide market intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to support product development and strategic planning.
- Contribute to the development of a broader global machinery sales network as the business continues to expand internationally.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and CRM management.
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated success selling shrink sleeve, labeling, or packaging automation solutions.
- Experience developing new business and managing complex technical sales cycles.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and production processes.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders ranging from plant managers and operations teams to senior executive decision-makers.
- Experience working independently within a territory while collaborating effectively with international teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout North America.
