Seven Executive is supporting the appointment of a commercially driven Sales & Business Development Manager for a specialist PET preform and rigid plastics packaging manufacturer entering an important new phase of growth.
The business specializes in PET preforms, custom tooling, mold development, prototyping, pilot production and packaging development for customers across beverage, dairy, food, healthcare and consumer products.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded sales professional to take ownership of key customer relationships, support long-term account continuity, and help shape future commercial growth across a highly responsive, specialist manufacturing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow existing PET preform and rigid plastics packaging accounts.
- Build strong relationships with customers across beverage, dairy, food, healthcare and consumer products.
- Support the transition of key customer relationships from senior leadership.
- Identify new business opportunities aligned with available manufacturing capacity.
- Work closely with operations, engineering, quality and customer service teams.
- Support pricing, quoting, forecasting and margin-focused commercial decisions.
- Develop a qualified pipeline for future growth as capacity expands.
- Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events and trade shows.
Candidate Profile
- Proven sales, business development or strategic account management experience.
- Direct experience within PET packaging, PET preforms, rigid plastics, injection molding or related plastics manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of custom or technically driven manufacturing solutions.
- Commercially sharp, customer-focused and comfortable discussing pricing, margins and profitability.
- Able to manage inherited accounts while still building future new business.
- Comfortable working in a smaller, fast-moving manufacturing environment.
- Strong communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Based within reach of Vandalia, Ohio, or able to travel regularly to site and customers.
