Dye Operator - 3rd Shift

Position Summary:

The responsibilities of this position include operation of the jet dye machine and extractor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all Seiren safety and quality standards
• Prepare dyestuff and chemicals
• Load and unload jet machines
• Operate jet dye machines (inputting dyes and chemicals, sampling, setting, etc.)
• Input fabric to extractor and removal of fabric from extractor
• Operation of extractor
• Cut samples of each dyeing
• Perform other duties as required in supporting departmental goals

Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent preferred
• Should have at least 1 year of work-related experience
• Must have ability to follow detailed instructions
• Must have good written communication skills
• Must have good verbal communication skills
• Must have good low-level decision-making skills
• Very important to have ability to work well without close supervision

This position will regularly be required to lift up to 75# and occasionally lift up to 100#.

This position will work in a plant environment where there will be a moderate noise level. The employee will sometimes work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
