Job Title: Dye Jet Operator (Textile Industry)
Location: Maiden, NC
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shift)
Pay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dye Jet Operator to join our textile manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating jet dyeing machines to apply color to fabrics while ensuring consistent quality, efficiency, and adherence to production standards. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor jet dyeing machines to dye fabrics according to production specifications
- Prepare machines for production, including setup, test runs, and adjustments
- Load and unload fabric materials safely and efficiently
- Measure and mix dyes and chemicals following established formulas
- Monitor temperature, pressure, and dye flow to ensure proper processing conditions
- Inspect finished products for color consistency, defects, and quality standards
- Adjust machine settings to maintain proper dyeing performance and correct issues as needed
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on equipment
- Record production data, batch details, and quality checks accurately
- Communicate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues quickly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in textile manufacturing or machine operation preferred (not required)
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and production specifications
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (12-hour shifts)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a warm, humid manufacturing environment
- Ability to bend, stoop, and move materials as needed
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
