Segrera Associates has partnered with a leading publicly traded organization seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to serve as a key link between local operating company (OpCo) tax processes and the corporate headquarters. This individual will ensure accurate, timely, and standardized tax reporting across all business units while driving process improvements and fostering operational excellence in tax compliance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support group tax reporting deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across all entities.
- Review OpCo submissions, identify discrepancies, and coordinate clarifications or adjustments as needed.
- Oversee the preparation and review of internal and external tax-related disclosures.
- Support the design and rollout of enhanced and standardized tax reporting processes, templates, and tools across OpCos.
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as Accounting and FP&A to address tax implications of both routine and non-routine transactions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for OpCo tax managers and ensure effective communication of group-wide tax updates and priorities.
- Champion SOX compliance initiatives through process improvements and controls.
- Contribute to a culture of tax operational excellence by aligning stakeholders and managing change effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Proficiency with major financial and accounting systems (Oracle eBS, HFM, SAP); relevant certifications a plus.
- Strong technical understanding of Finance and Tax concepts, including IFRS, US GAAP, and IAS 12 (international tax certification a plus).
- Fluency in English and Spanish required.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a regional or HQ tax team, or providing tax reporting advisory services to multinational organizations.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with remote, cross-functional teams.
- Track record of implementing tax reporting and digitalization initiatives.
- Experience driving adoption of tax policies and process improvements across global operations.
