We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Staff Accountant to take ownership of full-cycle monthly close processes. This position offers meaningful exposure to a dynamic, multi-entity environment, regular interaction with senior leadership, and opportunities to support process improvements as the organization continues to grow.
Responsibilities:
- Own the monthly close process for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
- Prepare standard and recurring journal entries, including cash, prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and deferred revenue.
- Complete and maintain balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts such as cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued expenses, prepaids, and fixed assets.
- Calculate and record monthly bonus accruals based on performance metrics and contractual terms.
- Review and maintain lease accounting schedules using a dedicated lease accounting system, ensuring accurate amortization and compliance with accounting standards.
- Analyze balance sheets and income statements, identify period-over-period variances, and record adjustments or reclassifications as needed.
- Support revenue recognition processes, including deferred revenue and related accruals.
- Assist with year-end audit activities by preparing reconciliations, general ledger detail, and supporting documentation.
- Partner with accounting leadership on special projects and ongoing process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
- 3 years of relevant accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems; exposure to Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a plus.
- Ability to interpret financial and legal documents, including lease agreements.
- High level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent analytical ability.
- Effective communicator who can work independently and collaborate across teams.
- Comfortable adapting to new systems and responsibilities within a fast-paced, growing environment.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
