Job Title: Night Shift Fabrication Technician
Location: Osseo, WI
Shift: Night Shift (Monday–Wednesday, 4:30 PM – 5:30 AM; overtime may include Thursday nights)
Pay: $20.00
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Night Shift Fabrication Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role involves working with sheet metal and structural steel to assemble high-quality heating, cooling, and ventilating system components. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble components of heating, cooling, and ventilating systems and other company products
- Verify work orders using blueprints, materials, and production schedules
- Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings to fabricate steel structures
- Accurately measure materials using tape measures and other tools
- Operate power tools and fabrication equipment as required
- Communicate effectively with team members and assist others in the work area
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces following good housekeeping practices
- Identify, report, and assist in resolving quality issues
- Perform quality checks to ensure product standards are met
- Follow all safety procedures and use protective equipment appropriately
- Identify and immediately address safety hazards in the work area
- Work safely both independently and as part of a team
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to work with sheet metal and structural steel
- Willingness to learn and interpret AutoCAD drawings
- Ability to read and apply precise measurements
- Comfortable operating power tools
- Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods
- Frequent walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Regular use of hands for handling and manipulating materials
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Strong visual acuity, including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment for detecting fine defects
