Counter Sales / Account Manager – Plumbing Supplies
Location: Port Chester, NY
Pay: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience, plus commission and bonus opportunities

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Counter Sales / Account Manager for a full-time, permanent position with one of New England’s largest mechanical construction supply houses.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands plumbing equipment and supplies, enjoys working directly with contractors, and wants to build a long-term sales career with an established industry leader.
Responsibilities
- Assist plumbing contractors and other customers at the sales counter
- Help customers identify the correct plumbing equipment, parts, fittings, and supplies
- Answer questions regarding products, pricing, availability, and delivery
- Prepare quotes, enter orders, and follow up on open proposals
- Develop strong relationships with existing customer accounts
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and expand customer relationships
- Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams on inventory and order fulfillment
- Resolve customer questions and order issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate customer, order, and sales information
Qualifications
- Experience in plumbing supplies, counter sales, wholesale distribution, account management, or a related trade
- Working knowledge of plumbing equipment, parts, fittings, and supplies
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to identify customer needs and recommend practical product solutions
- Comfortable preparing quotes and entering orders using a computer
- Organized and able to manage multiple customer requests in a busy environment
- Sales or account management experience is a plus
- At least one year of plumbing supply or related industry experience is preferred
