Counter Sales / Account Manager – Plumbing Equipment & Supplies
Location: Ridgefield, CT
Pay: $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience, plus commission

New England’s leading HVAC and plumbing wholesaler and distributor is seeking an experienced Counter Sales / Account Manager for its Ridgefield, Connecticut location.

Responsibilities
- Assist plumbing contractors, technicians, and other customers at the sales counter
- Identify and recommend plumbing equipment, parts, materials, and supplies
- Answer questions regarding products, pricing, availability, and deliveries
- Prepare quotes, enter orders, process sales, and follow up on open orders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customer accounts
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and strengthen customer loyalty
- Develop relationships with new contractors and prospective customers
- Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and delivery teams to fulfill orders
- Resolve order issues and customer concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain accurate customer, quote, order, and account information
- Stay current on products, inventory, promotions, and industry developments
Qualifications
- Experience in plumbing supply, wholesale distribution, counter sales, account management, or a related trade
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing equipment, parts, materials, and supplies
- Ability to identify products and recommend appropriate solutions
- Excellent customer-service, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple customers and priorities in a busy sales environment
- Comfortable using computers to prepare quotes, enter orders, and manage accounts
- Sales, business-development, or account-management experience is a plus
- Dependable, professional, and motivated to contribute to sales growth
