Account Manager – HVAC & Plumbing Parts & Equipment Sales
Stamford, CT | $25–$35 per hour, plus commission
Full-Time, Permanent Position
We are seeking a customer-focused Account Manager for an HVAC and plumbing parts and equipment sales opportunity in Stamford, Connecticut. This role is ideal for someone with industry knowledge who enjoys building relationships, helping contractors find the right products, and developing new business.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with HVAC and plumbing contractors, service companies, and trade professionals.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate parts, equipment, and supplies.
- Prepare quotes, process orders, and follow up on sales opportunities.
- Grow existing accounts and develop new customer relationships through proactive outreach.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to confirm pricing, product availability, and delivery schedules.
- Assist with product questions, order issues, and warranty inquiries.
- Maintain accurate customer records and track outstanding quotes and account activity.
- Stay informed about product offerings and industry developments.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in HVAC, plumbing, wholesale distribution, counter sales, or account management.
- Working knowledge of HVAC and/or plumbing parts, equipment, and supplies.
- Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize requests, and follow through on commitments.
- Comfortable using order-entry systems, email, and basic business software.
- Sales initiative and a commitment to providing accurate, dependable service.
Compensation & Employment
- $25–$35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
- Commission opportunities in addition to hourly pay.
- Full-time, permanent position in Stamford, CT.
