The leading HVAC and plumbing wholesaler in the Northeast is seeking a motivated Counter Sales / Account Manager for its White Plains, New York location. This position combines hands-on counter sales with customer relationship management and account growth.

Responsibilities
- Assist plumbing contractors, technicians, and other customers at the sales counter
- Recommend plumbing equipment, parts, materials, and supplies based on customer needs
- Prepare quotes, enter orders, process sales, and follow up on open orders
- Build strong relationships with existing customers and develop new accounts
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and strengthen customer loyalty
- Answer questions regarding products, pricing, availability, and deliveries
- Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and delivery teams to fulfill customer orders
- Resolve order issues and customer concerns quickly and professionally
- Maintain accurate customer, order, quote, and account information
- Stay informed about products, inventory, promotions, and industry trends
Qualifications
- Experience in plumbing supply, wholesale distribution, counter sales, account management, or a related trade
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing equipment, parts, materials, and supplies
- Ability to identify products and recommend the appropriate solutions
- Excellent customer-service, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple customers and priorities in a busy sales environment
- Comfortable using computers to prepare quotes, enter orders, and manage accounts
- Sales, business-development, or account-management experience is a plus
- Dependable, professional, and motivated to grow sales
