Job Title: Technical Designer – Contemporary Brands (Dresses)

Reporting to: Head Designer, Dresses

We are seeking a Technical Designer to join our growing team supporting contemporary brands, with a focus on dresses. This role is heavily centered on product development rather than production, working closely with design to bring concepts to life with strong fit and construction integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Head Designer and design team on dress development from concept through pre-production
• Create and maintain detailed tech packs with precise specifications and construction details
• Lead fit sessions, evaluate samples, and provide clear fit comments to vendors
• Ensure design intent is translated accurately into final garments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, sourcing, and merchandising
• Support consistency in fit, quality, and brand standards across all contemporary labels
  
  

Team Structure:

• Join an existing team of 2 Technical Designers, with plans to expand by adding 3 additional team members
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Technical Designer within contemporary fashion brands (required)
• Strong expertise in dress construction, fit, and garment development
• Experience focused on development over production
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  
  

Salary $70,000-$85,000
