Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Design and Production teams to support the development of products that meet quality, aesthetic, costing, and margin objectives
- Coordinate development process from initial concept through final pre-production stages
- Work directly with overseas vendors, factories, and agents to source appropriate materials, trims, and components that align with design direction and cost requirements
- Review development samples, prototypes, and market samples for quality, construction, functionality, and overall design intent
- Recommend adjustments to materials, components, or construction methods in order to meet costing and margin goals while maintaining design integrity
- Track and manage development samples, approvals, testing, lab dips, strike-offs, and related development milestones
- Maintain development calendars and ensure all deadlines are met throughout the product lifecycle
- Create, update, and manage tech packs, BOMs, and product specifications with accuracy and attention to detail
- Communicate daily with overseas teams, vendors, agents, design, merchandising, and production partners regarding sample status, approvals, and development updates
- Assist with packaging development and coordinate updates related to packaging components and approvals
- Support pre-production tracking and reporting, including prototypes, sample yardage, testing requirements, and development timelines
- Maintain organized records and development documentation across all projects and categories
- Contribute positively to team culture with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset
- 2–5 years of experience in product development, production, or apparel development coordination preferred
- Experience within children’s apparel, licensed product, or consumer goods industries is a plus
- Strong understanding of product development processes, garment construction, and materials
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Experience creating and updating tech packs and product specifications
- Comfortable communicating with overseas vendors and factories
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
