Sapphire Shores Health and Rehab is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team!

Whether you're helping a resident regain communication skills after a stroke, improving swallowing safety, or supporting cognitive function, your work will make a meaningful difference every day.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on residents' needs and physician orders, as applicable.
- Provide dysphagia assessments and interventions to promote safe swallowing and appropriate nutrition.
- Work with residents recovering from strokes, neurological conditions, injuries, and other medical conditions.
- Provide therapy to short-term rehabilitation patients and long-term care residents.
- Collaborate with nursing, dietary, physicians, and other rehabilitation professionals to coordinate resident care.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding communication strategies, swallowing precautions, and treatment goals.
- Complete accurate and timely evaluations, progress notes, treatment documentation, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and resident progress meetings.
- Ensure services comply with applicable federal and Florida regulations, professional standards, and facility policies.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current, active Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Current CPR certification, if required by facility policy.
- Ability to successfully complete all required background screenings.
- Strong communication, organizational, and clinical documentation skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting.
- Experience treating dysphagia, cognitive-communication disorders, and neurological conditions.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Familiarity with Medicare documentation requirements and interdisciplinary care planning.

Florida AHCA Background Screening Requirement
This position is subject to Level 2 background screening in accordance with applicable Florida law and Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) requirements.
All applicants must successfully complete the required background screening process and meet applicable eligibility requirements prior to employment. Screening will be conducted through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse, as applicable.
Applicants who have disqualifying offenses may be eligible to apply for an exemption from disqualification through the appropriate state agency, subject to applicable law.
