Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our dynamic healthcare team across all shifts. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence.
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates; document findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems).
- Support patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling practices are followed at all times.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by nursing staff while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans, ensuring seamless communication across medical professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and proper sanitation procedures.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical documentation systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks to ensure accurate records.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the applicable state.
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (CPR).
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as PCC is preferred.
- Prior experience in settings like long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), assisted living, hospice, or home care is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely using proper techniques; manual handling skills are essential.
- Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving; ability to work effectively across shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Florida Background Screening Requirement:
This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Clearinghouse in accordance with Florida law. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all required background screening.
