RN Weekend Supervisor- 16 hour shifts

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated RN Weekend Supervisor to lead our nursing team during 16-hour weekend shifts. Duties

• Supervise nursing staff during weekend shifts, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure optimal team functioning
• Oversee patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation to maintain accurate and comprehensive records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as PCC
• Coordinate care plans for patients with complex needs including dementia, geriatrics, behavioral health, and long-term care populations
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, state healthcare laws, and nursing policies while managing patient confidentiality and safety protocols
• Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, catheter care, and perform venipuncture or phlebotomy as needed for diverse patient groups including neonatal ventilator management or adult critical care cases
• Conduct clinical evaluations such as physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and tube feeding assessments to support multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers
• Lead incident investigations, manage emergency responses including airway management or ventilator troubleshooting, and document all activities thoroughly for legal and quality assurance purposes

Qualifications

• Valid RN license with current state registration; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are a plus
• Extensive critical care experience including ICU or Level I Trauma Center backgrounds; experience with medical-surgical units highly valued
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as PCC; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and medical documentation standards
• Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within healthcare facilities; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to acute and long-term care environments
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays; expertise in dementia or memory care is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills for managerial coordination, patient education, and family engagement in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Ability to perform sterile techniques such as suturing or catheterization when necessary; competence in specimen collection/processing and infection control practices

Florida Background Screening Requirement:
This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Clearinghouse in accordance with Florida law. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all required background screening.
