Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe IMS Administrator to join our team and support enterprise-level mainframe IMS environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge in IMS administration, database management, performance tuning, and problem resolution within a large-scale IT infrastructure.
You will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and fine-tuning IMS systems, mentoring junior administrators, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity and performance of mainframe environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Mainframe IMS database systems and related products.
- Perform installation, configuration, and fine-tuning of IMS environments.
- Conduct debugging and problem analysis to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Perform database performance tuning and ongoing maintenance activities.
- Analyze, test, and implement enhancements and changes to database management software and environments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to identify database relationships and functional requirements.
- Mentor and guide junior database administrators in best practices.
- Work within incident and change management frameworks to maintain production stability.
Must-Have Skills:
✅ Deep knowledge of Mainframe IMS Administration
✅ Experience with IMS database systems and supporting tools
