A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support attorneys through all phases of the litigation process in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This hybrid role is based in Pittsburgh and is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, problem-solving, and managing complex cases with minimal supervision.
Schedule:
- Hybrid role based in Portland, Oregon
- 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
What You’ll Do:
- Assist attorneys with case evaluations through initial file review and case analysis
- Draft chronologies, pleadings, answers, and other legal documents
- Manage written discovery, document collection, and production processes
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, subpoenas, court reporters, and videographers
- Summarize transcripts and prepare exhibits for attorney review
- Support factual investigations, witness searches, and records review
- Maintain litigation databases and organize large volumes of case materials
- Assist with trial preparation including binders, exhibits, witness lists, and courtroom logistics
- Conduct legal, medical, and public records research
- Handle file maintenance, storage, and post-trial or appellate support as needed
Education and Certifications:
- 3–10 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required
- Paralegal Certificate preferred
What You Bring:
- Strong understanding of litigation processes and case management
- Trial experience preferred
- Familiarity with Oregon State and Federal courts
- Experience managing document-intensive matters and litigation databases
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Relativity, LiveNote, and online research tools
- Trial Director experience preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle confidential matters professionally
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines independently
