Our client, an Am Law 200 full-service law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Chicago office. This role supports attorneys in a fast-paced commercial litigation environment and offers the opportunity to work on complex matters through all phases of litigation, discovery, and trial preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with commercial litigation matters from inception through trial
- Draft routine legal correspondence, pleadings, and litigation-related documents
- Manage and maintain litigation files and case materials
- Collect, organize, review, and summarize records and discovery documents
- Support all phases of discovery, including document production and e-discovery coordination
- Assist with trial preparation, exhibit organization, and case management
- Coordinate with attorneys, clients, experts, and outside vendors as needed
- Maintain deadlines and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate required
- 3 years of litigation paralegal experience required
- Commercial litigation experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with e-discovery software required
- Prior trial preparation experience required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
