We’re seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to provide high-level administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys in our Oakland office.
What You’ll Do
You will play a key role in ensuring smooth case management and workflow across litigation matters, including:
- Supporting attorneys with case management and document production
- Handling extensive e-filing in state and federal courts
- Drafting, proofreading, and editing legal correspondence
- Managing complex calendaring and court deadlines
- Coordinating communication with clients, courts, and internal teams
- Maintaining organized case files and legal document systems
- Arranging travel and processing expense reimbursements
- Ensuring compliance with court rules and civil procedures
What We’re Looking For
- 2 years of experience as a litigation legal secretary (multi-attorney support required)
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures and e-filing systems
- Experience with legal calendaring tools (e.g., Juralaw or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems (iManage or similar)
Nice to Have
- Experience in education law or administrative hearings
- Familiarity with timekeeping systems (Coyote or similar)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
