Our client, a leading and highly respected healthcare system in Texas, is seeking an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Plano. This full-time, onsite role supports a high-acuity Interventional Radiology department, providing 1:1 patient care and assisting throughout all phases of minimally invasive procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Interventional Radiology and minimally invasive procedures.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
- Administer medications and provide sedation monitoring as needed.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within Epic EMR.
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, patient safety standards, and quality initiatives.
- Participate in on-call rotation, including overnight and weekend coverage.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required.
- Neuro IR experience preferred.
Required Skills:
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA preferred).
- Experience working in a procedural or high-acuity clinical environment.
- Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and clinical documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting.
- Epic EMR experience required.
