Job description:
Job Title: Logistics Associate
Pay Range :-$17.00/hr. - $19.50/hr.
6 months contract duration
Onsite Role :-South Bend, IN 46628'
About the Role:
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to support operations within a large-scale cloud computing infrastructure environment. As a Logistics Associate, you will play a key role in inventory management, logistics coordination, and ensuring smooth operations to support technical teams. This role requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to support build and repair activities
- Receive, store, and track parts and materials accurately
- Issue parts to technicians and engineers as needed
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments
- Transport materials between different locations
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory movements
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of workspaces
- Follow operational procedures and safety guidelines at all times
Basic Qualifications:
- 0–2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and follow instructions in English
- Willingness to work overtime as required
- Ability to lift up to 49 lbs individually and assist with heavier team lifts
- Capable of performing physical tasks including pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, and reaching
- Comfortable with prolonged standing, walking, and climbing stairs (if applicable)
- Ability to work in varying noise levels and temperature conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Knowledge of inventory control processes
- Background in warehouse, distribution, or reverse logistics
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Positive work attitude with demonstrated reliability and accountability
- Ability to exceed performance expectations over extended periods
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Experience working with vendors is a plus
Physical & Work Environment:
- Requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods
- Work environment includes both office and warehouse settings
- Exposure to varying noise levels (moderate to loud)
- May involve working around moving mechanical parts
- Occasional exposure to hot or cold weather conditions
- Temperature typically ranges between 60°F and 90, with occasional extremes.
