We are partnering with a manufacturing company in Bedford, MA who is looking to add a Staff Accountant to their team. This role will support the day-to-day accounting function with a strong focus on journal entries, allocations, inventory accounting, and month-end close. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries and account allocations
- Perform inventory reconciliations and research variances
- Support and coordinate inventory cycle counts
- Maintain product and inventory cost information
- Assist with cost maintenance and analysis
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with manufacturing accounting and cost-related analysis
- Provide support for internal and external audits
- Assist with various accounting projects and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 2-5 years of accounting experience
- Manufacturing accounting experience required
- Strong journal entry and reconciliation experience
- Experience with inventory accounting and cycle counts
- Understanding of cost accounting and cost maintenance
- Experience supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
- Strong Excel and accounting systems experience
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
Compensation: $70K-$85K
