What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Roessel Joy?
An engineering company is seeking to hire a Staff Accountant. In this seat, you will be responsible for completing expense reports and performing accounting support in the office. The company is currently undergoing an ERP implementation to NetSuite, so they need someone who has previous experience using the ERP. Technically, this position will be covering a 4 month maternity leave, but if all goes well, this could convert.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable regarding purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other changes with invoice.
- Handling accounts payable for separate business units and vendors.
- Understand the financial structure of each business unit, and accurately allocate expenses to the appropriate accounts.
- Generate reports detailing accounts payables status.
- Process accounts for payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ad-Hoc accounting projects
Requirements
- Strong financial background with an understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills: bilingual is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Desire to grow with us and expand your accounting knowledge
- Strong project management skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience using NetSuite
Salary : $30 - $42
