Human Resources Coordinator

The Opportunity

We are working with a prominent learning services non-profit in search for a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to join their team. This is a critical support role for an individual who is passionate about creating a welcoming, inclusive environment for employees. You will be the first point of contact for new hires and a trusted resource for the entire staff, handling everything from the full recruitment lifecycle to benefits administration and data management.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with the HR team to manage job postings, schedule interviews, conduct background checks, and lead the seamless onboarding process for new hires.
• Serve as a key resource for staff, answering policy questions, conducting orientation, and ensuring every employee feels supported from their first day.
• Take the lead on generating reports, analyzing HR metrics (KPIs), and maintaining accurate, confidential personnel records and HRIS data.
• Assist with the administration of insurance and retirement benefit plans, including enrollments and terminations.
• Help document and refine internal HR processes to ensure the department operates efficiently and accessibly.

What You Need to Succeed

• 2 years of related HR experience; Associate’s degree preferred.
• A minimum of conversational fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) is preferred, with a strong willingness to learn required.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Mac/Apple computers. Prior experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms is highly desired.
• A highly organized, detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to a high professional code of conduct.
