A healthcare service is seeking to hire a Grants Accountant. In this seat, you will be overseeing a select group of grants and handling the accounting for those grants. Additionally, you will be responsible for AP, billing, balance sheets reconciliations, financial reporting, and budgeting. The ideal candidate can go through the full life cycle of a grant and is proficient in Excel, specifically Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Write comprehensive financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and internal controls.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with SOX compliance is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel is a must.
