Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Clinton, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting month-end closing activities. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience working with various accounting systems.

Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision and efficiency.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and post journal entries in alignment with financial reporting requirements.
• Assist with month-end close procedures, including the preparation of financial statements.
• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to manage financial data.
• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations and reporting.
• Support audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all financial activities.
• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and conducting month-end close activities.
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies effectively.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
