Paralegal

Our client, a family law firm in Freehold, NJ, is looking to hire a Family Law Legal Assistant (Paralegal) to their team.

• Assist attorneys in preparing for family law cases by conducting legal research and drafting necessary documents.

• Manage case files and ensure all documentation is organized and up-to-date.

• Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case status.

• Proofread legal documents for accuracy and compliance with court requirements.

• Utilize document management systems to maintain electronic files efficiently.

• Coordinate with courts and other legal entities regarding filings and deadlines

• Managing a calendar

• Contact with clients, courts and other attorneys

• Answering Phones

• Electronic filing of court documents

• Very few trials 

• Dictation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification preferred.

• Proven experience as a paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm, particularly in family law.

• Strong legal drafting skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent proofreading abilities to ensure document accuracy.

• Familiarity with West Law or similar legal research tools is a plus.
