Lead Solution Architecture

We are looking for an experienced Lead Solution Architecture specialist to oversee and guide the integration of applications and ensure alignment with architectural standards. This role focuses on defining and governing IT solutions that meet business requirements while adhering to strategic guidelines. As part of a long-term contract opportunity based in Cincinnati, Ohio, you will play a key role in shaping the technical landscape and ensuring the integrity of the organization's IT architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Provide architectural leadership across business and IT change initiatives, ensuring all solutions follow established technology strategies and architectural guidelines.
• Oversee technical solution design for application integrations, validating implementations for compliance and effectiveness.
• Contribute to the development of technical proposals and responses to RFPs.
• Define and deliver architectural components throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring consistent alignment with strategic goals.
• Identify and resolve key design challenges; escalate when necessary to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and data management teams to align system changes across the IT ecosystem.
• Ensure complete technical documentation, including high- and low-level design, build procedures, disaster recovery plans, and application handoff materials.
• Advise internal teams and third-party partners on integration approaches, ensuring architectural soundness and compliance.
• Monitor technology trends and recommend new tools or practices that can improve integration outcomes.
• Support the continued evolution and refinement of enterprise architecture and IT strategy.
  

• Strong analytical mindset and ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Deep knowledge of architectural frameworks and enterprise-level integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with modern infrastructure and cloud-based technologies.
• Familiarity with Microsoft-based enterprise platforms and related technologies.
• Solid grasp of software delivery methodologies and full SDLC practices.
• Strong understanding of solution costing, licensing models, and vendor technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting complex technical ideas to both technical and business audiences.
• Proven success working in multi-disciplinary teams alongside engineers, designers, and developers.
• Practical experience with integration, documentation, and post-implementation support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• TOGAF or equivalent architectural certification preferred.
• Prior experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.
