Billing Clerk

We are looking for a meticulous and customer-focused Billing Clerk to join our team on a contract basis. This role is based in Lincoln, Rhode Island, and involves handling billing-related tasks for customers nationwide. Responsibilities:
• Provide responsive customer service to branches, addressing inquiries and processing adjustments as needed.
• Interpret and analyze billing and payment records to ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with branches nationwide to manage billing statements and update routing numbers.
• Audit accounts for overpayments and implement corrections.
• Resolve chargebacks efficiently and in compliance with company policies.
• Handle a high volume of billing tasks, averaging 400-500 transactions per month.
• Proven experience in billing functions, including invoicing and reconciliation.
• Proficiency in computerized billing systems and tools.
• Strong understanding of billing statements and collection processes.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Familiarity with handling chargebacks and overpayments.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
