Company Description: LEAD Training is a Cincinnati-based nonprofit organization dedicated to equipping students from kindergarten through young adulthood with the skills needed for success in life and career. Focused on career readiness, life skills, and social-emotional learning (SEL), LEAD helps young people, particularly those facing challenges, build confidence and chart their futures. Programs like the High School Workforce Initiative, customized SEL modules, and career coaching have shown measurable success, with 93% of Career Quest seniors creating clear career plans and a 96% student satisfaction rate. In 2024-2025 alone, over 2,500 students engaged in these programs.
Role Description: The Career Coach & Workforce Coordinator will develop and implement career coaching programs for high school students participating in LEAD’s Workforce Initiative. Responsibilities include providing job coaching, guiding career exploration, assisting students with career development, and preparing participants for interviews. The coordinator will also collaborate with school staff, track individual student progress, and organize workforce workshops. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Cincinnati, OH.
Start Date: LEAD will be hiring 2-3 new team members for the next school year. Interviews with prospective employees will start in early June. The official start date for all new staff will be the first week of August.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Job Coaching and Career Development for young adults
- Strong Communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience working with high school students and familiarity with social-emotional learning and workforce development concepts
- Strong organization and event coordination skills
- Ability to build partnerships with educators, employers, and community organizations
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in nonprofit or workforce development settings is a plus
