The Controller will play a vital role in optimizing financial systems, maintaining operational excellence, and driving the organization’s ongoing growth.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the accounting functions .Lead, mentor, and guide a team of property accountants and accounting managers, fostering growth and development.Collaborate closely with the Director of Accounting Operations to ensure efficient management of accounts payable processes.Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes for both owned and managed properties.Review and approve complex journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.Enhance internal controls and implement industry best practices for financial systems and procedures.Ensure compliance with reporting requirements for stakeholders, including property owners and investment partners.Provide training and support to property management teams, improving their understanding of accounting processes and procedures.Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze property performance, informing budgeting and operational strategies.Manage cash flow across the portfolio, ensuring adequate resources for day-to-day operations and debt obligations.
