What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Manager position at Robert Half?
A growing truck transport & logistics company is seeking an Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Supervisor to join their team. This person will lead the entirety of the Accounts Payable & Receivable process and will report directly to the Controller. Candidates need to be experienced in both full cycle AP & AR.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coach AP and AR teams, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
- Review and monitor AP and AR aging to ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Assist with 1099 filing processes and ensure accurate reporting.
- Support the month-end close by verifying that AP and AR balances are current and accurate.
- Review check batches, disbursements, and payment runs.
- Understand and support journal entries and bank reconciliation steps (without necessarily performing them).
- Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline workflows, enhance internal controls, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field HIGHLY preferred
- 5 years of experience in heavy full cycle AP and AR
- Proven supervisory experience managing a team (7 direct reports: 4 in AR, 3 in AP).
- Solid understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including aging management.
- Familiarity with 1099 filings; experience assisting with them strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of journal entries and bank reconciliation processes (understanding level).
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
